Lebo the Khoisan is a South African cultural artist, dancer, singer(spiritually voices) and storyteller whose work preserves and reimagines the heritage of the Khoisan people. Based in Alexandra Township, he has become a leading figure in indigenous performance art, known for his signature style, Animalism — a fusion of traditional Khoisan movement, contemporary dance, and embodied storytelling.
His company serves as a platform for cultural performance, heritage education, artistic collaboration, and community upliftment. Through live shows, workshops, media appearances, and international engagements, Lebo champions South Africa’s ancient identity while inspiring new generations to embrace their roots.
